First flying day of season

Jeff
A great days gliding to kick off the flying season for us and to get GED back in the air after so long. Three people out for a trial flight; Jeff, Ralph and Terry all had great flights and enjoyed themselves. We hope to see you guys back at some stage. Ralph, you left your camera mount on the strap so you'll have to!

This was our first gliding day for a long time. Thanks to Don who was our instructor for all flights today and to Paul who came over from Tauranga to be tow pilot for us. All your efforts are appreciated.

Callum's gps path is shown below. Not much lift about today and what was there was hard to find and stay in. Those with sharp eyes might spot evidence of a wind change.

Remember our club can cater for those who want to try gliding for the first time and can offer training through to qualified glider pilot.

GPS route laid over Google Earth. The circles show where we searched for lift.
