Mid Winter Thermals

The 1st of July was a fantastic day for flying despite being in the middle of winter. By mid day it was clear there was activity in the air with clouds forming up. As CFI, Don was kept busy all day, being in the back seat for four flights and then in the front as Mike continues to work towards being checked out in the rear seat. Mike, Bob, and Callum all had sucessful flights finding good lift. Callum found lift next to the airfield and was observed by those on the ground gaining height. By the time Bob was having his second flight the lift had dissapeared.

Josh, a young local man, came out for a trial flight and was taken up by Don. Josh loved the experience and is keen to return again.
